Marlene Virginia Jones Gautsch
Marlene Virginia Jones Gautsch, of Elkton, went to be with the Lord on August 12th 2021. Marlene was born on Could 25th 1960 to Malvern and Evelyn Jones of Elkton. She is survived by her loving husband of 18 several years, Robert Gautsch, and two small children, Jordan (Jillian) and Alexandria (Tyler) her mom, Evelyn Jones her 3 sisters, Maria Kirley, Margaret Hoyt and Martha Weldin and her several nieces and nephews.
Marlene graduated from The Tome University in 1978 where she liked enjoying basketball and industry hockey. She then went on to gain her Bachelor’s diploma in administration from Goldey-Beacom Higher education in 1983 and afterwards earned her Master’s diploma in education and learning from Loyola Higher education. She began her 41-year vocation at Thiokol of Elkton in 1980 as a Output Technician and grew to become a Technical Writer and Configuration Supervisor. A voracious reader all her life, Marlene’s 2nd calling was as a Cecil County librarian, the place she labored from 2007-2020, principally at the Perryville Branch. She was a gifted and insightful e-book reviewer who loved recommending terrific reads, not only for library patrons, but for all who understood her. Marlene observed success in teaching Sunday university at the Elkton United Methodist Church in which she taught for about 30 years. Together, Marlene and Bob’s enthusiasm for instructing Sunday faculty incredibly reflect their abilities, devotion, and love of the Lord. In her leisure time, Marlene especially cherished expending time with her relatives on the lake in Canada, the place she and her family share their 2nd property. She appreciated touring, viewing museums, offering back to charities, taking care with her pets, and becoming the loudest and proudest cheerleader in the stands at all her children’s sporting occasions. Marlene will be remembered as a mentor, as a job product, and as a devoted wife and mom of her two children. The honest counsel, moral assistance, and never-ending love she shared with her family and pals will be without end skipped.
Solutions will be held Tuesday, August 24th at 11:00 AM at Elkton United Methodist Church, 219 E. Most important Avenue, Elkton, MD, with acknowledgment hours starting two several hours prior. By ask for of the family, masks will be necessary. Reside stream will be offered on the Elkton United Methodist Church YouTube page. Interment will be held at a later day.
In lieu of flowers, contributions could be created to Elkton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, or to Tri-State Hen Rescue and Investigation, in treatment of Hicks Dwelling for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
