William Frederick “Freddie” Hooper, 79, of Beaufort, handed away peacefully Friday, July 16, 2021, with his wife Judy by his side, immediately after battling a prolonged illness.

A celebration of everyday living company is at 11 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mill Creek. Instantly subsequent the support, the loved ones will host a catered lunch for all these in attendance.

Freddie was born on October 24, 1941 to Alfred Blivens “A.B.” and Annis Lewis Hooper. Freddie attended Beaufort Superior School the place he excelled both of those academically and athletically. Through his senior 12 months, he proudly served as co-captain of the 1959 State Championship soccer workforce. After acquiring his business diploma from East Carolina College, he pursued a productive job with Naval Audit and the Cherry Issue Funds Workplace until eventually his retirement in 1996. In his leisure time, Freddie savored tenting on Core Banks, duck hunting, and touring. He was a faithful member of Graham Memorial where by he served as Senior Adult Sunday College instructor, choir member, and usher. Freddie is survived by his loving wife of 59 many years, Judy daughter, Norma Collinsworth and partner John of Apex, NC son, William F. ‘Bill’ Hooper Jr and wife Melanie of Beaufort, NC and grandchildren, Ryan Collinsworth and wife Viktoriya, Alexis Collinsworth, and Samuel Hooper. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Corbett and husband William of Erwin, NC.

He was preceded in demise by his parents.

In lieu of bouquets, contributions might be designed to the cake ministry of Graham Memorial, an outreach that Freddie generously started out six years ago.
